The graphic novel was created as a part of the Visual Documentation module at NID. The brief was to visit any culturally or historically important place at your locality and visual document the activities, structure and energies of the place. I had visited a Hemadpanthi Shiva temple to document. It was around 20 kms from where I lived and I had to travel by local auto-rickshaws. I tried to document the place visually to the best of my potential.

Later we were asked to convert the experiences into a graphic narrative that can be a work of fiction or based on real instances or experiences. I created the graphic novel - ‘A place like you” and you will very well know why I named it that after reading. I hope you enjoy the exploration.
