This project was completed under illustration module, but carries the spirit of a graphical story narrative. The brief was to produce an illustrated version of any regional poem from your area. So I selected a poem by one of the most celebrated poet in Maharashtra, Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar, also known by his poet name, Kavi Kusumagraj.

The poem states the story of an interaction between a person who has lost everything in a recent flood in their village and his teacher. How the person narrates his story to his teacher and finally seeks his blessings instead of any material help. The poem has been a source of inspiration for millions over past few decades. It was my pleasure to illustrate it.
